Program Overview
The Ennismore Minor Hockey Mentorship Program offers young hockey players U16 and above an opportunity to explore coaching in a structured and supportive environment. This initiative aims to build leadership skills, expand hockey knowledge from a coaching perspective, and ensure the future strength of our association by investing in the next generation of community leaders.
Goals of the Program
● Inspire young athletes to stay involved in hockey beyond their playing years
● Provide hands-on coaching experience under the guidance of certified coaches
● Support the development of leadership, communication, and teaching skills
● Strengthen our minor hockey programs with enthusiastic and relatable mentors
Who Can Apply - Eligibility Criteria
● Be a current EMHA participant in U16 or above in the 2025-2026 season
● Be in good standing with the Ennismore Minor Hockey Association
● Demonstrate a genuine interest in learning and contributing to a team's development
● Be available to attend a minimum number of practices and/or games
● There must be a minimum 2-year age gap between the applicant and the team they will mentor
● Selected candidates will be interviewed by the coaching staff
● Parental Consent will be required for anyone under the age of 18
