The Ontario Screening Submission Portal is open as of April 1, 2025 for the 2025-26 season through the OHF website here: https://www.ohf.on.ca/risk-management/vulnerable-sector-checks-vsc/

Anyone aged 17 and under will not be required to complete screening.

Process for Returning Individuals for the 2025-26 season
Team Officials, On-Ice Officials, or Third-Party Instructors, etc. that are returning for the 2025-26 season, and had their screening approved by the OHF this past season with a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from 2023 or 2024, will only be required to complete the online declaration for the upcoming season. The declaration from 2024-25 expired on May 31, 2025. The OHF Online Submission portal opened on April 1st to complete this process.

Process for Returning Individuals with a 2022 VSC (expired May 31, 2025)
Team Officials, On-Ice Officials, or Third-Party Instructors, etc. that are returning for the 2025-26 season and had their screening approved by the OHF this past season with a Vulnerable Sector Check from 2022 will be required to submit a new VSC and complete the online declaration for this season. The screening for these individuals expired May 31, 2025.

Process for New Individuals

New Team Officials, On-Ice Officials, or Third-Party Instructors, etc. for the 2025-26 season will be
required to submit a VSC and complete the online declaration for this season.
New Individuals must register with their Association in the HCR prior to submitting their screening to the OHF.

Receipts
As of August 1, 2025, the OHF will begin accepting Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) receipts.
• If an individual has requested a VSC from their police service, either before or after August 1,
and has not yet received the completed document, they may now submit their receipt through
the screening portal and complete the online Declaration. This will make them eligible to
participate and be rostered while awaiting the results.

Anyone required to obtain and submit a VSC is strongly encouraged to request one as soon as
possible to avoid delays caused by police service processing times. Once the completed VSC is received from the police service, it must be uploaded through the screening portal as soon as possible to finalize the individual's screening status.
