Congrats U11 Silverstick Champs
This past weekend, the Dave’s Towing, U11 Ennismore Eagles traveled to Pembroke to participate in the annual Silverstick tournament. The weekend consisted of a series of 6 highly competitive games. On day one, they came out on fire and defeated the Casselman Embrun Ice dogs 8-0 in their first match of the day. Onto day two, the team went head-to-head against the Osgoode Richmond Romans, who proved to be a worthy opponent. The Eagles showed their determination and perseverance, scoring late in the third period to capture a 3-2 win. In their second game of the day, the Eagles took on the Arnprior Packers and recorded a 7-0 win which advanced them to the quarterfinals on Sunday.

In the quarter-finals action, the team took on the Mississippi Thunder Kings, and a team effort led to a 3-1 victory for the Eagles. The semifinals game proved to be their toughest game of the tournament, meeting up with the Osgoode Richmond Romans for the second time.  The game was back and forth with the boys pressing hard into the third up by 1 and securing the game with an empty net goal.

The third and final game of the day took place at 5:00 pm Sunday night, the boys showed no weakness and were hungry for a win. They came out fast, scoring in the first 10 seconds of the match. The Eagles kept the gas pedal down and flew to an 8-1 victory to take the Championship.
