Congrats Buckhorn Yacht Harbour U13 AE!
The Buckhorn Yacht Harbour Ennismore Eagles U13 AE Team hosted the first ever Ennismore Eagles Epic Showdown this past Feb 4th and 5th.
Fresh off of the hockey pause the Eagles had a slow start against Mariposa Lightning losing their first game 2-1. It didn't take much for the Eagles to find their stride again winning their next 3 games! A strong 5-2 win against Oro Thunder lead the Eagles into an undeniable 6-2 victory against Fort Erie Meteors.
With the one goal loss in the first game the Eagles found themselves in the Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing "B" Championship game against Napanee Stars. Wanting nothing more than to win a gold medal on home ice, the U13 AEs went full steam ahead and pulled out an impressive 3-1 championship win!
It was such an amazing feeling for the team to be back in action especially at home. The forwards were on fire with relentless pressure in the offensive zone, the defense were incredible with perfect penalty kills and powerful battles in the corners, and both goalies were solid between the pipes pulling out some amazing saves!
Congratulations Eagles! What a great tournament!
