These boys deserve a little shout out!
The Kangas Equipment Repair Atom LL White team has had a great
season. These boys here are the true
meaning of a TEAM.
They have had a tough season. It started off with a player breaking his hand. A couple months later they lost their goalie. We were fortunate enough to have a player step up to the task. He deserves a huge high five for taking on the position of "goalie" when never having played net before. Austin Shears you rock buddy! He confidently jumped into the net for the remainder of the season.
I think everyone thought this team would fail after being thrown every obstacle that hockey could throw at them. However these coaches were not giving up on these guys. They knew these boys were something special and that they would work through whatever the season threw at us. We ended up placing second in regular season in a 3 way tie. This advanced us onto the top six in round robin play offs.
Just as we were starting off on a good run we were thrown another obstacle of losing a star center man. You would think most kids would throw in the towel.
Not these boys. They were not going to give up. They ended their round Robin with just 1 point short of taking a second place spot in the "A" Championship.
They advanced on and battled hard earning the “B’ championship in the Atom Leo division.
Camden Williams, Noah Healey, Curtis Bell, Connor Rye, Derrick Van Wart, Jordan Taylor, Damien Taylor, Broghan Keating, Adam Mohns, Austin Shears, Joshua Wilson, Charlie Heckel, Brayden Deshane, and Ross Luther. We are so proud of you guys and how hard you have fought. Thank you for giving us a great season! This article has been viewed 1079 times.
